 Hi neighbors! I know how hard it is to find good contractors. In 2011 our family  moved into a house described as a “solid 70s build ready for your  transformation.” We loved the character or “bones” of the house; We  saw so much potential to make it our dream home. We have been  transforming our home to modern contemporary ever since. We spent  the first 10 years re-doing the interior, stripping it down to studs,  building up sunken floors, new kitchen, bathrooms, vaulting ceilings  etc. To support the work, we hired residential contractors to help us  with the work from HVAC, carpenters, flooring specialists, drywallers,  painters, plumbers, landscapers, electricians, handymen to fence  builders. We have had some great experiences and, honestly, more  than our share of horrible contractor experiences that no homeowner  should have to deal with. For that reason, my husband, Sean, and I  created the Referred Pros directory you hold in your hands. It is an  annual free reputation-based county directory designed to make the  process of finding the best and most reliable residential contractors  in your community easy. Referred Pros is a local, women-owned and  family operated company based here in Colorado. We are extremely  selective about who we put in our directory and continuously monitor  contractors to make sure they  are living up the “Gold Star”  status we expect of them.  We are not done with  transforming this house and  sometimes I wonder if we ever  will be. I am glad to know that  we now have a single, trusted  source, the Referred Pros  Directory, to go to when we  need contractors again.
